AUCTION - FD-56 - The Charlatans - 1967 Unused Ticket & Card - Near Mint

Talk about a great opportunity! Here we have on offer, a fantastic, two-piece lot, consisting of an unused ticket and a postcard for a Family Dog show held at the Avalon Ballroom in SF, CA. The bands were the Charlatans, Sparrow, and Canned Heat and the show dates were April 7–8, 1967. Incredible artwork by Rick Griffin and George Hunter, with Herb Greene taking the wonderful photo. What's so exciting about this lot is the unused ticket! How hard are these to come across? The Family Dog generally took the whole ticket, tore it up, and threw it away. Hence, any surviving tickets are a rarity indeed. The unused ticket measures 2 5/8" x 5", while the postcard measures 5" x 7", with the bulk rate postage-paid printed on the reverse. This is as opposed to "Place Stamp Here". Both of these pieces are in magnificent, Near Mint condition.
