AUCTION - Bo Diddley - 1968 Handbill - The Bank - Excellent

AUCTION - Bo Diddley - 1968 Handbill - The Bank - Excellent

This handbill up for auction is from a very short-lived venue from Southern California. The Bank was located in beautiful Torrance, CA, and lasted about six months in 1968 before police pressure forced them to close their doors. Here we have the great Rock 'n' Roll pioneer Bo Diddley performing on November 220-23, 1968. Lights were by the oddly named Junk Beam. The wonderful artwork for all the Bank shows was done by Bob Wilson, who, in lieu of a signature, put a buffalo in profile in all his pieces. Wilson's distinctive crosshatch work really stands out. This concert handbill measures 5 1/2" x 7 3/4", approximately. The piece is in Excellent condition, with pinholes in each corner, some handling, and some light bending in the bottom corners. Highly presentable piece.
