AUCTION - Love The Turtles - 1968 Poster - The Bank - Very Good

This unusual poster from the Los Angeles area is from a venue, called the Bank in Torrance, CA. There are three days worth of shows advertised for the weekend of December 6-8, 1968. Love headlined Friday and Saturday, with Three Dog Night and Middle Earth, each taking an opening night slot. Sunday, the Turtles took the top slot, with the local radio station's KPFK Live Show. Something for everyone at the Bank! The most striking feature is the admonition at the top: "Please Come Clean", with a skeleton wearing an LAPD helmet. Cool skeleton arms as well, which I'm sure looked very cool on the phone pole! Great crosshatch work. This venue was short-lived (hence the map to the place) and Torrance is a bit out-of-the-way for downtown LA folks. The poster measures 22 1/2" x 16 1/2", approximately. The condition is Very Good, with multiple staple holes, one of which still has an original staple in it, amazingly enough. There is edge wear and tears, staple, and tack holes throughout, handling throughout, corner bends, and a small stain in the word "Hamilton".
