AUCTION - Psychedelic - Hambly Studios - 1967 Black Light Poster - Near Mint Minus

Offered for auction is a super cool head shop poster from Hambly Studios. They were from Santa Clara, California, in the South San Francisco Bay Area. They made a numbered series of posters, each of which was designed to have a dramatic impact under black light, changing the look of the piece impressively. Please note the black light photo we have up and see how dramatic the difference is. This poster is Number Nine in the Hambly Studios series and it has a full-on Egyptian motif happening in orange and green. As head shop posters go, Hambly Studios were definitely a cut above the competition. A typical head shop poster was printed on thin, glossy stock. This poster is printed on heavy, high-quality paper stock. All of these things, along with the sheer scarcity of the Hambly Studios posters, add up to a very desirable series of posters for collectors today. This Hambly Number Nine measures 17 1/2" x 23" and is in Near Mint Minus condition, as it comes rolled and has a little bit of edge wear. In exquisite shape, especially as head shop posters go!
