Offered for auction is a fantastic Rolling Stones poster from the Urban Jungle tour’s European leg. This poster is for the last date of the continental part of the tour, held in Prague, Czech Republic a scant six months after becoming a country! Hence the slogan “Tanks are rolling out. Stones are rolling in.” This was the first big western rock show held in Prague and over 100,000 folks attended. Another interesting tidbit is that this was Bill Wyman’s last show abroad. Two English dates later, Wyman left the band. What really makes this poster special is the fact that the entire band has signed it! Mick, Keith, Charlie, Bill, Ronnie all signed. Along with notables like Bobby Keys, Chuck Leavell, Bernard Fowler and more. Getting even one signature is a challenge, folks. Getting all of them is an outstanding feat, indeed. All these signatures were collected by a long time tour video crew member, who developed the familiarity and had the time and opportunity and determination to get them all. This piece truly represents the culmination of years of work with the band.
Fairly large, the poster measures 23 3/8” X 33” and is in very good condition. The poster comes rolled and has some handling, most certainly due to the process of getting the autographs, along with a pinhole in each corner.
