AUCTION - Oxford Circle - 1967 Poster - Sacramento State - Very Good

What a cool poster! This one is for a benefit concert put on by Thunderheaven Presents (great name). Billed as “The First Annual Chuck Roast Memorial Benefit for P.O.U.R. Held at Sacramento State’s Women’s Gym. Local stalwarts Oxford Circle and Milk the Working Class (fabulous name!) were the talents. Oxford Circle appears on a pair of Bill Graham Presents 1966 posters, along with several very high profile Family dog posters, notably FD 26, the iconic Skeleton and Roses. FD 19, the Five Six Dollar Bill and FD 13. They were certainly in the right place at the right time. Printed on glossy paper, this piece has lots of lovely lettering work. A really fun, completely unusual, 1967 poster, which measures 9” X 13 1/2”, approximately. Condition is very good, with two pinholes, a lower-left corner bend, a tear along the lower right edge. Handling throughout. A very rare and very fun poster from Sacramento.
